Service Design Masters is a certification project confirming standardized knowledge in the field of service design.
When creating tests, we were guided by best practices and specific knowledge and techniques used in service design, which are confirmed by the certification.
Service Design Masters I is a certificate confirming knowledge in the basics of service design.
Service Design Masters I
test scope:
- Main principles of Service Design
- Knowledge of basic concepts (e.g. Double diamond)
- Project tools of Project Phases Discovery, Define, Develop, Delivery
- Principles of Service Design: How to design in practice?
- Design Mindset, Convergent and divergent thinking
- The main principles of Service Design are based on understanding the needs and expectations of users, integrating business, technological, and design elements to create valuable experiences. It’s a holistic approach that considers the entire product or service lifecycle, from researching user needs to evaluating their satisfaction.
- The Double Diamond method is a structure of the design process that involves a two-phase approach: the first phase is exploration, focusing on understanding the problem and gathering ideas, the second phase is convergence, where ideas are shaped and implemented into actions. It’s an iterative approach that fosters creative thinking and innovation.
- The project tools of Discovery, Define, Develop, Delivery are a set of methods and techniques used in different stages of the project process. In the Discovery phase, information is gathered and user needs are analyzed, in the Define phase project goals are defined, in the Develop phase solutions are created, and in the Delivery phase, the final product or service is realized.
- The principles of Service Design, such as how to design in practice, include focusing on user needs, taking an iterative approach to design, engaging stakeholders at every stage of the process, and testing and evaluating solutions before implementation. It’s also important to consider the context of use and continuously improve products or services.
- Design Mindset, which encompasses convergent and divergent thinking, is an approach based on openness to diverse perspectives and ideas. Convergent thinking involves shaping and selecting ideas, while divergent thinking involves generating new ideas and exploring different possibilities.
